SmartPlant Review App - Clash Detection
The Rowland Group designed, developed, and implemented a clash detection, review and reporting application for an ENR Top 100 Design-Build firm. The tool leverages Visual Studio, the SmartPlant Review API, and Microsoft Access to provide a full-featured, yet easy-to-use, clash detection system, including GUIs for clash test definition and clash review; clash status and history, with automatic identification of resolved clashes; and clash reporting with customizable templates.
SmartPlant Review App - Enhanced Isometric Drawings
The Rowland Group designed and developed an application to create 2-sided isometric drawings for an ENR Top 100 Design-Build firm. Using Isogen output files, and the PDF version of an isometric drawing, the tool generates a 2-sided PDF document where the 2nd side shows color-coded views of the pipeline detailed on the iso drawing. The tool runs in batch mode, enabling the processing of many drawings at a time.
SmartPlant Review App - Custom Actions
The Rowland Group designed and developed an application to enable configurable custom actions on selected model objects. For example:

Search folders or data sources to find documents related to selected objects, and package those documents for delivery.

Create user-defined properties and assign values for those properties to selected objects.

Execute a Windows command or program using properties of the selected objects as input

Since 2008, The Rowland Group has provided support services for Hexagon PPM (formerly Intergraph) plant design tools to a Fortune 100 consumer goods company. Supported products include PDS, Smart 3D, SmartPlant P&ID, SmartPlant Review, SmartPlant Explorer, and SmartSketch. Services have included:
